VIC:32,000 cancer diagnoses in 2013: report

Statistics from the Cancer Council of Victoria's annual report Cancer in Victoria:
Statistics and Trends.



* 28,363 Victorians diagnosed with cancer in 2010.

* Cancer killed 10,673 Victorians. Of those 56 per cent were men.

* The median age for diagnosis is 68 years for men and 65 years for women.

* The Cancer Council of Victoria predicts over 32,000 people will be diagnosed with
the disease in 2013, with 11,000 deaths.
