Fed: Asylum seekers hit with dengue fever-like symptoms
More than 20 asylum seekers and staff at the immigration detention centre on Nauruare believed to have fallen victim to dengue fever.
The Immigration Department says 17 asylum seekers, including two children, and a smallnumber of staff at the centre have developed dengue-like symptoms.
The centre on the tiny Pacific Island is part of Australia's Pacific solution of processingillegal boat arrivals offshore.
A departmental spokeswoman says all 17 detainees have received treatment for the mosquito-bornedisease and are now back at the centre after recovering from the fever.
